Born Crewe, enlisted Conway. Son of Samuel and Frances Walley of 41, Martin Street, Crewe. A former pupil at Mill Street School. Previously employed in the Electrical Department, Crewe Works. Had been at the Front for only six weeks. Killed by shellfire after going to the aid of comrades buried in a trench. His father served in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
