News has been recieved by his widow of the death of Corporal Thomas Nolan, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, of 85 Wheatland Lane, Seacombe, who was killed in action on the 16th May. The deceased, who was a familiar figure in the borough, was proprietor of the Central Window Cleaning Company. He was a Reservist and was called up at the outbreak of war, leaving for the front on September 10th. he saw a great deal of fighting. Particulars of his death have not yet been received, but great sympathy will be felt for his widow and three children who mourn his loss.
Thomas was named on the Ploegsteert Memorial but CWGC have recently moved his name to the Le Touret Memorial.
